Simply always wonderful and delicious. They are the gold standard every time I've gone. If only every restaurant was as genuine and delicious!

Great Italian joint for groups. Perfect for special occasions or no occasion at all. Came here on a Saturday for lunch with the family. We were celebrating my son's bday. He had requested Italian. Perfetto! The Food: Most of our dishes were delish, freshly made to order. The portions were very generous. See my attached photos for your visual reference. Here's what we had ordered: (1) Chicken Parmigiana - I love chicken parm. I'll order it almost every time, anywhere available. Gaetano's did not disappoint. The portion is def. YUUUGGGE. Instead of one large chicken filet, I got two. Whoa mama mia! Served with handmade tagliatelle noodles in marinara topped with sautéed veggies. It was a belly buster for sure. I loved it and would order it again. (2) Tagliatelle & Chianti Short Ribs - Based on the Yelp reviews, this is a popular dish. I could see why. My bro had ordered this dish. Luckily, I got a taste. The beef short ribs in Chianti sauce was a party in your mouth. Very flavorful and the meat just melts in your mouth. Again the tagliatelle noodles are handmade so the whole dish was just a perfect 10+. I would order this next time for myself. Sorry, chicken parm. (3) Spaghetti with Meatballs - The bday boy ordered this one, and he devoured it. The portions were huge. In the end, he had a big ol' smile. However, he rated it 9/10. He always says there's always room for improvement regardless if the food tasted excellent. Hard critic but fair. I wonder where he gets it from? (4) Gaetano Sandwich - My daughter ordered this one, which is surprising. She doesn't usually order sandwiches at restaurants. Again these are pretty huge sandwiches especially for a 13 yr old. She ate half and took the rest home. I ate the other half which I thought the sandwich was pretty good even after a day and half. (5) Fried Calamari - There's pros and cons to this one. The fried calamari and the two dipping sauces (basil aioli & marinara) were perfect. The calamari was lightly battered, perfectly fried. No qualms in that dept. However, the con is the portion. I personally thought the portions were small on this one. They could have gave more to it. Regardless, this was def. a great appetizer. We had ordered other dishes, but I can't speak on them since I didn't get a taste tbh. The Service: We had made reservations ahead of time. When we got there, the maître d' seated us promptly. The busser was very attentive, polite, and prompt. Our food came out piping hot and promptly. Since it was my son's bday, Gaetano's had a little birthday sign where my son was seated. After our meal, Gaetano's offered a bday dessert for my son. He chose spumoni ice cream. It was great. Only caveat is that it had a hint of rum. Overall, a great spumoni. The Ambiance: The decor & ambiance look & feel is clean and classy. I did see a lot of seniors so maybe a great lunch spot for seniors. All in all, the food was great. Gaetano's def. made our son's bday very special. We def. felt we were well taken care of. I'd would highly recommend this place to family and friends for your next occasion or no occasion at all. I would come back to try other dishes. You're welcome.

Dinner with a friend. Made my reservation through Open Table. Perfect. My friend had a glass of Pinot noir. She got her favorite Shrimp Mediterranean. I got the Pasta Special which was a Baked Mostaccioli. Never had it before so I gave it a try The food arrived piping hot. My friend loved hers. I wasn't as thrilled. The cheese on top was super thick making it difficult to eat. I barely made a dent and took the rest to go. I should have ordered something else. By the time we were leaving, the entire restaurant was full including the patio. Ok, bye.

Whew, I could sing this restaurant's praises all day! Delicious Italian food! My server was extremely attentive and made sure to check in regularly. The ambiance is very lively and social! Now let's get to the food! To start, I had the calamari! It was PERFECT! Fried to perfection, and I loved the basil aioli it was paired with! My only complaint is that it could've been hotter! For my entree, I got the Tagliatelle & Chianti Shot Ribs pasta! DELICIOUS! Because of the table bread, I was full about 4 bites in, but every bite was delectable. My friend got the Eggplant Parmigiana. I never order eggplant, but I took a few bites, and it was probably the best eggplant I've ever had! Scrumptious! The wine I paired with my meal was the Stephen Vincent red wine. I STRONGLY recommend this wine if you're going to have red meat. Skipped out on dessert because I was so full. That table bread really sneaks up on you! I will definitely return! But random question. How come all the Italian restaurants in the vicinity don't have lobster ravioli? Is that an Americanized dish? I always want to order it, but it's never on the menu at the authentic Italian spots. Lol.

Beautiful Italian restaurant in one of Torrance's shopping centers. Although I frequently visit the shopping center, I had never stopped by. Wish I would've stopped by sooner. The salad was fresh. The drinks were strong, and the pizza and pasta was amazing.

This charming Italian restaurant offers outstanding service and a lovely outdoor patio. Start your meal with their freshly baked complimentary bread, served with an amazing olive oil dipping sauce--truly irresistible. The lightly battered calamari, accompanied by a basil aioli and marinara sauce, is a must-try. Their Caesar salad, generously topped with extra Parmigiano cheese, is simply delicious. Our favorite dish is the seafood pescatore, featuring halibut, calamari, scallops, and shrimp in a rich marinara sauce. The pasta is always al dente, and the seafood is cooked to perfection. We absolutely love this place!

Excellent service, Quality ingredients, Family Ambiance. If you're craving pizza, pasta, and calamari this is one of the few places that offers all three! A reservation was made during the week daytime but the restaurant was quiet and open to sit wherever you like Calamari- 9/10 Delicious light and seasoned Free Table bread 10/10 Perfectly toasted with a delicious oil vinegar sauce which was my favorite (be sure to ask for extra) Drinks 9/10 Limoncello was my favorite, strong with a subtle flavor Artichoke hearts 8/10 Delicious but felt very healthy, we poured the oil mixture on top for more flavor Pesto pasta 9/10 Perfect balance, tasted so authentic, and you can make it vegetarian. Only request would be to make the sauce slightly thicker Pizza 9/10 Delicious and authentic definitely a little thicker than the usual thin crust Italian pizza but just as delicious The service was impeccable we will definitely be back!

Place is pretty good. Lunch specials are amazing and the Lasagne was great! Great specials if you are around, and great spot for lunch!

Great service, amazing food, especially the meatballs and we loved the outdoor patio seating. Nice ambiance with music on the inside. Our server brought us a special spumoni for our retirement and birthday celebrations and we go through strawberry shortcake stack which was amazing. Highly recommend. It does get busy, so go early. Happy hour includes $3 off any drink and app.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! This was my first time at Gaetano's and we had a wonderful experience. We met up with some friends to catch up as it was very highly recommended. I really want to highlight the staff and their dedication to making the customer feel comfortable and welcome. We have twin babies and it can be difficult to be at a restaurant with all that comes with that. But we didn't feel that at all here, they do have a smaller indoor area but again, the staff was extremely accommodating. So i would come here for just the service. The food here was excellent as well though. I only managed to snag a photo of the Margherita pizza we shared but it food all around was delicious. We will definitely be back and will be recommending it to our friends.
